Exhibition of one of the founders of the Uzbek school of fine arts Alexander Volkov (1886-1957) will be presented on September 2 at the State Art Museum of the Republic of Karakalpakstan named after Savitsky. The works of an outstanding artist are included in the collections of major museums in the world. His biggest collection includes more than 100 works, is preserved in Savitskiy museum.

 The exposition of the museum will represent the works which hadn’t been shown before, as well as about 80 paintings and graphic works. The visitors of the exhibition also will see 18 Volkov’s works, restored by Moscow restorers. Alexander Volkov was not only an outstanding artist, but also a poet whose poetic talent was reflected not only in poetry, but also in all its glory of his paintings.
