The competition “Promote your own city, district or region in social networks” is held in Uzbekistan.
The aim of the competition is to increase the recognizability of the regions in Uzbekistan among local and international tourists by active promotion of cultural values and sights in the cities, districts and regions in social networks. The participants should present their vision (in mini-project form with concrete plan) of tourism promotion of their own city, district or region in social networks. They should describe the main issues:
- Touristic abilities of their city, district or region, and its distinctive feature;
- Original touristic logo and  slogan of their city, district or region (three variants);
- Aim, strategy and plan of promotion of tourist abilities of their city, district or region in social networks.
The competition is held by UNDP on the programme “Support in enhancing of Local Governance System and Participatory Governance in Uzbekistan” and “Social innovations and partnership” with “Kelajak Tour” Bureau of International and Youth Tourism and Cooperation.
The competition is announced among residents (individuals) under the age of 35 years in all regions and cities of Uzbekistan, tourism potential of which is not explained in full. Participation of girls and groups is greeted. Each participant may submit only one application (either individually or in a group).
Total number of words should not exceed 1500 words (in Russian and/or Uzbek). The answers to the questions must be laconic and clear, with appropriate references and links to external sources of information.
Interested candidates should provide a brief summary of one page for each participant (with contact details) and an application describing the vision for tourism promotion until 10th of December (inclusive 18:00) 2012.
