Asian Chess Championship in Tashkent

From May 30 to June 7 in Tashkent Asian Chess Championship for juniors under 20 years will be held. More than 50 of the best young players from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, India, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam will take part in competitions. It is the first time, when Tashkent takes part in championship of such a high level. Fund Forum, Chess Federation of Uzbekistan, the Asian Chess Federation, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan organizers the event.
The opening of the championship will be held on May 30 at 14.00 in the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan. The closing ceremony and awarding of champions will be held on June 7 at 19.00 in the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan.
Chess Championship will be held according to the Swiss system - in 9 rounds. Every day at 14.00, from May 30 to June 7, inclusive, one round will be held. 7 rounds of blitz chess will be held on June 7 from 15:00 to 18:00.
Chessmen of three best places in each category will be awarded with the medals. Categories: standard chess tournaments and blitz chess.
